Making the voice of the rivers heard

Everywhere in the world rivers are impacted
by climate change and accelerated urbanisation.
The Colorado (USA) and the MurrayDarling Basin (Australia) are under severe stress because of overexploitation through
feeding cities and agriculture with water.
The Ganges is one of the ten most vulnerable rivers in the world, threatened by pollution and uncontrolled residue. This is the result of haphazard economical and urban development.
The Rhine in Germany, a navigable waterway, vital for goods transport, has reached its lowest level in history. The level of the Rhône in France is dropping every year although it is still a major source of renewable energy  through hydropower. Rivers and their tributaries are in grave danger while most people have lived on their banks and in their deltas since the beginning of humanity.
