FARM Class at Pacific Beach Continuation High School continues for its fifth year starting August 22. In addition to growing, harvesting, cooking and eating vegetables, students will be participating in a new pilot program that incorporates instruction in business entrepeneurship. They will package and market boxes of City Farm Produce at their school. This new program is supported by Foundation grants. More details in next month's newsletter. |

Tenant farmer Corey Richmond presented City Farm with his artfully decorated "brick ...house." In addition to providing a comfortable facility, this means we no longer have to lease a Porta Potty, reducing our monthly overhead. Thank you Corey! . |

One of our hoop houses was blown apart by the notorious Los Osos Valley winds that scour the farm. Tenant farmer Javier Magana and employees of tenant Carmichael Environmental completed the major repair with plastic film contributed by the original contractor, Quiedan Company. |

Sunday, October 20 2019 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. is the 3rd annual Fall Harvest Festival at City Farm. Live music, produce sales, informational booths, food and drink, hayrides, farm tours, games and contests, and corn roast.
