What’s Happening

We have one week left in our Spring 2024 session at ArtFusion19464. During the last few classes, we are always glazing our work. We have learned some new glazing techniques this session, including how to use a resist technique to add interest and fun patterns to the surfaces of our pots. See the "Clay Corner" below to take a little quiz and learn more about the glaze resist process. And as always, follow us on social media @inclusiveclay to see everyone's creations!

Partnership with Historic Yellow Springs

We are thrilled to announce that we are partnering with Historic Yellow Springs in order to offer more classes this Fall. We will be opening a class session that will be held in their newly renovated building, which will be ADA compliant and have accessible parking. We recently announced this partnership at the Historic Yellow Springs Spring Art Show, which is underway in the Lincoln Building on Art School Road in Chester Springs. Stay tuned for more information and share this news with others!

Clay Corner

Last week, we learned about a glazing technique called a "Resist."

Quiz Time!

Which of the following can be used as a resist?

A. Wax

B. Paper

C. Stickers

D. Tape

E. All of the Above

Answer: E. All of the Above!

There are many ways to "resist" or prevent glaze from adhering to your pots. We used stickers and layers of underglaze to create a heart pattern on this cat figurine. Isn't it LOVE-ly? We can't RESIST a cute cat!
