Social Media - New Directions
The situation at X makes me more and more think to leave that platform. It simply doesn't feel good anymore. So, I looked around and created new accounts. One at LinkedIn and another one at BlueSky. At the moment, no one knows which one will be the next big player, but LinkedIn looks attractive. I just try to be everywhere. Both accounts are not yet filled with content but will be soon. If you have an account on one of those, or on the other platforms (Mastodon, Facebook, Threads) I suggest that you follow EOMasters there. The account on X will be closed soon.

Yes, Germany is really getting a spaceport. If you now think of a launch facility like Cape Canaveral or Baikonur, you have the wrong picture in mind. It is planned as a mobile platform in the North Sea that will launch rockets with small satellites into low-Earth orbits.
This is a reply to the growing demand for space-based data and services, especially in the private sector, which creates a market worth billions of euros by 2040. The port shall reduce the cost of launch vehicles and help the German industry to compete with companies like SpaceX.

The Projection Collection is a set of trading cards. The set consists of 77 unique map designs that show off a wide variety of different projections. Each card shows off a custom-made map. Along the top you can find details about the projection, including its name, origins, and a few symbols that represent its features. The reverse of each card features a key to those symbols. This is the second print run of this set. In the first run almost 15,000 cards were delivered. Now there is a second chance to get these cards. You can get these cards by backing the project on Kickstarter. It is already successfully funded, and the Kickstarter ends on the 26th of October.
