Podcast with Voices of Mackellar

Every (Voices) group is different and this one is proudly non-partisan.

This is what Margo Kingston (former Sydney Morning Herald journalist) said of us when framing her recent podcast with Committee members Sheilah and Maree. Listen to them tell the story of our foundation, our role and activities leading up to the recent Federal election and our plans for the future.

Have your say in the Mackellar Big Survey

What are the biggest federal and local issues that concern you? How should our Federal MP be engaging with you?  Dr Sophie Scamps has just released ‘Mackellar’s Big Survey’ through your letterbox and online. We’d encourage you and members of your household to take a few minutes to complete the survey.

Update: Inquiry into the 2022 Federal Election

Following up on our September webinar What’s the Big Deal? A Federal Election Inquiry! we are thrilled to report that there have been an unprecedented number of submissions to the Inquiry. Thank you if yours was one of them!

Already more than 400 have been reviewed by the Committee and uploaded to the Inquiry webpage, with many hundreds still to be reviewed. Public hearings (where the Committee hears from issue experts who have made submissions) are now underway.

To follow the Inquiry (and hopefully find your submission):

2023 State election

Things seem to be ‘hotting up’ already in the lead up to next year’s March State election. As our name suggests, Voices of Mackellar will retain its Federal electorate focus (which keeps our Committee busy enough!). However we will endeavour to create a State version of our popular Candidate Bulletin Board. Watch this space in early 2023 to find out more about the candidates running in your State seat.

Did you know?  We are running some Pop quizzes on our social media channels, if you don't already follow us - please do and join the fun! And on that note…Within the boundaries of the Mackellar electorate you can find three State electorates: part of Davidson, part of Wakehurst and all of Pittwater.
