Refresh.

Restart.

The new year is always a great time to renew and remind yourself of all the things you want to do.  I don't go the resolutions route, but I like to spend the month of January thinking of what I want for the year (which also subsequently turns into figuring out what I don't want), and planning accordingly.

There is a lot of pressure to set resolutions at the top of the year and know what you're going to do, but taking your time to really think about what you want and revising that is also ok.  January 1st is not a magical deadline!

January Challenge

Take the rest of the month to devote to thinking about what you want your 2022 to look like.  Be intentional and bold about what you want, then be strategic and relentless in getting it done.  I challenge you to write it down as a reminder when you get busy and forget what you said about your intentions (because you will)

This month I am highlighting SAC-ASHA, which is the South Asian Caucus of ASHA.  SAC-ASHA is a multicultural constituency group independent of ASHA, that aims to "advocate for quality speech-language-hearing services to diverse individuals of South Asian origin residing in the USA."

As you all know, proceeds form each sale of my book are donated to multicultural groups in the field of speech-language pathology, and  SAC-ASHA is the first recipient of donations, so thank you!

My hope is that we all learn a little more about the minority speech-language pathology groups out there and also so support them in the work they are doing.

You can find out more about SAC-ASHA by clicking the link below.

Last but not least, a HUGE thank you to all who have purchased or passed along a post, link, etc for my book!!  I am so excited for all you to have this gem and know that it is something that can add value to every SLP out there!! Keep sharing!  We are just getting started!! Remember each sale is a donation to multicultural groups in our field doing the work to help us better service our minority clients and support the minority SLP's out there!!

As always,
