Year End Thoughts...
This year has been great in many ways, I launched my book around this time last year, got to connect with so many amazing customers who believed in my product (Yes I personally send messages to every single person who supports this mission), sponsor one conference, and become an in person vendor at another, donate $250 to a scholarship fund, and in the works to donate all proceeds through the remainder of the year to another organization supporting SLPs of color and the work done to support the culturally and linguistically diverse populations we serve, all from proceeds from my book sales!
This was my 2022!
A recent conversation I had with a colleague ended up with us talking about how we show up in our own world, and all the times we don't feel like we've done enough, or know enough; and all the days we honestly just weren't that productive and should've done more.
This was also my 2022!
The reality is that no one is 100% all the time. Some days are a strong 30% and that's just that! We are not lazy for not getting it all done. We are not imposters for not knowing all the answers in the moment. We can be a dedicated SLP and go home with an undone to-do list. We can be the expert in our department and not always get it right.
I am knowledgeable about some things AND I am still trying to figure some things out. I am a committed to my job duties AND I have less than productive days.
We can be ok with the AND.
