Welcome to this week's update on Colombo's meal deals, happy hours, events and more. As new year approaches, it's been quite a busy week and more events for the weekend are being added even now, on Thursday midday - so our apologies that this is a little late again this week. High Teas and Open Mics seem to be in vogue right now, as well as shopping of course in preparation for next week! However, we have also found another happy hour, a wine and dine evening, an all day beakfast and some pet-friendly hotels for a weekend break with the dog. If you like this, please sign up below and forward it to your friends to subscribe. |

Breakfast, Lunch and Brunch Congratulations to the Kingsbury hotel, on the opening of Tenku, their new Japanese restaurant on the rooftop. Tenku offers amazing rooftop views and a menu prepared by a master Japanese chef. If you hate getting up early at weekends, but love breakfast, you can do one of two things; go to bed earlier on Friday night (ha ha) or head down to Hilton Colombo on Saturday and enjoy their "All Day Breakfast". It's available from 9am to 3pm, so technically not all day, but still long enough to suit even the latest risers. Oysters and champagne, most would agree that it makes for a wonderful combination. Lagoon restaurant is offering a bucket of oysters and bottle of bubbly for Rs4750, from 12.00pm 2.30pm and 6.00pm to midnight. There is a special Avurudu Brunch at the Dining Room, Cinnamon Lakeside on Sunday 11th April from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. A reminder that Friday is the last day to enjoy the set menu Thali and Chinese lunches at Mandarina as these end on 9th April. | | |
