Self Care The purpose and mission of this newsletter is to provide Social & Emotional Learning support & practices to help educators manage & mitigate the stressors of everyday life. Especially during this crisis and shifting of the platform and manner in which we support students, families, and ourselves, promoting our health and wellbeing is paramount! |

Daily Health & Wellbeing Practices Recognize & know who you are and your limits. * Provide daily opportunities & plan for quiet time and restorative activities. * Ensure you're getting good quality sleep and promote a healthy sleep hygiene routine. * Make sure that you're providing good nourishment for your body & mind. * Discover and practice good diaphragmatic breathing to calm, oxygenate, & support your body & mind throughout the day. * Address internal and external conflicts proactively to not accumulate stress. * Take initiative in resolving any challenging home or work-life situations using nonviolent communication. * Create a daily opportunity for exercise & energizing the body & mind. * Take time to appreciate yourself and the amazing efforts you put forth each day. * Take time to serve others & encourage the wellbeing of others as well as yourself. * Identify what you enjoy doing and what's uplifting for you & make a serious effort to integrate it into your day. * Support & Nourish Your Whole Body Mind & Spirit! |

Our goal is to provide opportunities to connect you with practices, articles, links, audio, video, & in-person experiences to maintain and elevate your health & wellbeing as well as promote Social Emotional Learning (SEL) each month. If you or someone you know needs direct clinical support contact us at 864.225.0792. We will schedule a telesession or in-person support within 24-48 hours. Stress Management Center will be providing Art of Living Well series at various school locations in person and online for you to attain your certificate in Self Care and The Art of Living Well. One CEU unit will be provided for each of the 10 training sessions provided through Carolina's Center for Behavioral Health, The Stress Management Center, and Carolina Center for Functional Medicine. The Art of Living Well series provides Social & Emotional learning & practice in the following areas: - Breathwork
