Let us know if you can help us source us a copy of the board game! (image credit: SLU)

We at FLUSH hope you and your families are keeping safe and protected. Please continue washing your hands with soap during this crazy time!

We like to keep you periodically updated about our work on toilets across the world and recent blog posts. We've been working a lot lately, but we promise this newsletter is short and sweet!

FLUSH discovered an exciting historical toilet reference in Nairobi, Kenya! This bathroom sink is from the Thomas Crapper collection.

Despite popular belief, Thomas Crapper was not the inventor of the toilet. His success was selling affordable mass-market toilet hardware that was both attractive and effective. His bathroom brand became one of the most popular in the UK in the late 1800s. And the brand is still going strong!

Huda E. shared with us a nice picture of the bathroom structures she is setting up in a rural area of Uganda.

It's really helpful to put toilets in discrete, private structures. It gives people a sense of dignity and can be a safe space for many. This may be obvious, but many would be surprised how tough getting people safe, private, and nice toilets can really be in many countries!

FLUSH visited Zanzibar, Tanzania a few months ago on holiday, and experienced this toilet, which was set up on the top of a building that overlooked the Stone Town skyline.

There's nothing particularly historic about this toilet, nor important. But we thought that we would share something lovely here.

Perhaps, like us, you may find some peace and calm enjoying a beautiful, quiet, and working toilet while during our travels.

Lastly, if you don't want to get any more emails from us ever again, that's okay! Just let us know via email, and we'll remove you from our list.
