BACK TO THE SOURCE

Hello,

After a very busy beginning of the year due to two demanding trips, one to Eastern India, the other to German-speaking Switzerland, the month of June was more conducive to reinvesting the home-studio and catching my breath there.

The Artist Journal has been enriched with new articles.

I invite you to discover them here:

JOURNAL

A RETREAT IN JHAMTSE GATSAL

An extraordinary dive into the paradigm of Jhamtse Gatsal Children's Community in Arunachal Pradesh enriched my relationship with the world.

ULTRAMARINE

A friend gave me the boxes of old pigments that she found in her father's carpentry workshop. Superb, luminous, they are moving objects, witnesses of a life of work.

The vermilion red and medium yellow may be Cadmium based, I take some precautions due to my neurological sensitivity.

Ultramarine blue, in large quantities, is extraordinary and I have started a series on paper inspired by the mineral and plant world.

Back from these trips, I met Tsuki again, my little one and a half year old Bengal.

After almost two months of separation, this mini leopard is never far from me. She follows me everywhere, from my yoga mat to the tiny house in Saint-Cast, but her favorite room definitely remains the Atelier (studio). It’s of course mine too.

Beyond being the benevolent little sentinel of the studio, Tsuki is also a muse.

She invites me to reconnect with Nature: her somewhat wild atavisms amaze and inspire me. Tsuki also draws my attention to appropriate things at appropriate times. She speaks (meoww) and brings me back to reality when I'm too "disconnected". Playing with her is one of the most beautiful Mindfulness practices that I know.

"I am dead because I lack desire,
I lack desire because I think I possess,
I think I possess because I do not try to give,
In trying to give, you see that you have nothing,
Seeing that you have nothing, you try to give of yourself,
Trying to give of yourself, you see that you are nothing,
Seeing that you are nothing, you desire to become,
In desiring to become, you begin to live."
