PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Lynne Warne |

“His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning." (Lamentations 3:22-23) The new year offers a blank slate — an opportunity to get things right. Making New Year’s resolutions is inherently hopeful and optimistic. One thing’s for sure about life: You can’t go backward. You can only go forward. That means you have two choices: You can long for the way things used to be, and not change a single thing about today, or you can trust in God to do something new. READ MORE |

CHRISTMAS PARTY 2022 HIGHLIGHTS Hosted by Janine Moore (Secretary) |
Oh, what fun to gather this year to celebrate Christmas with friends! Thank you to our league secretary Janine Moore for graciously opening her home for our annual Christmas Party on December 14. Mother Nature did not cooperate but that didn't discourage our brave members from celebrating and sharing the spirit of the season! An array of hors d'oeuvres and desserts, beverages and Janine's delicious holiday punch were enjoyed by all...not to mention the company of seasoned members and new ones! Check out the website for more great photos of our two Christmas events. |

CHRISTMASTIME VISITS WITH THE SISTERS Sisters of Mercy and The Dominican Sisters |
It was a delight to bring holiday cheer to the retired sisters of Sisters of Mercy and The Dominican Sisters! Thank you to everyone who made a donation for our retired sisters Christmas Fund and to those who contributed in different ways. President-elect Claudia Weber (who did a great job organizing this Christmas outreach and visits) together with some of our league members visited both congregations on December 16. The sisters were very thankful for the $500 checks and for the wonderful visit. Great conversations, cookies and candies, a sing-along with the Sisters of Mercy--it truly was a very special time shared and a beautiful NCBWL tradition! |
