SOIL TO SOURDOUGH

Hello

 

Well here we are. 1.5 years on and we have now taken receipt of the Soil to Sourdough flour that you all helped to fund/clean/mill. I'm sure you'll agree that it has been such an interesting and important project to be involved with, becoming more educated on regenerative agriculture and how it really is the right way forward for farming, and for our planet!

The first batch of our Soil to Sourdough grains to be milled were the Lys Brun grains and we now have a good stock of 1kg bags of these to give to each of our Crowdfunders. So do pop in next time you're passing so you can pick one up.

 

And then in the New Year, once the Christmas Crazy is over, we will start using this flour (together with the Miller's Choice which was the other field of grains we had) to bake bread. And as part of your pledge reward you each get a loaf of this bread on us. 

I will message at the time to let you know when these loaves are available.

 

I'd like to thank you all for being a part of this project. I spoke to Oscar at Duchess Farms last week and emphasised how much I'd like to keep our relationship with the Farm active. We will most certainly continue to use their wonderful flours at MMB but hope also to explore other ways we can work together to encourage and support their brilliant work. I'll keep you posted!
