Stretching toward the sun is an ongoing series that charts the course of childhood. The liminal and fleeting space of childhood holds a yearning and a grief for those viewing through the lens of adulting. The beauty of childhood is in the impermanence and reminder of memento mori.

One Goal - Pep Bonet

Sierra Leone's amputees are a grim legacy of its 1991-2001 civil war. One of the most brutal aspects of the conflict was the use of amputation as a weapon of fear, by both factions.
