As we approach a new year, we look back on what 2020 has brought us, as well as what we hope 2021 will bring. 2020 was undoubtedly an extremely hard year for many across the globe; shutdowns, rations, illness, death. You name it and it was probably something experienced during 2020. Yet, through all the hard times, we cannot look past the good things that happened and how the Lord provided through it all. For us at Devoted to Christ Ministries, we saw the Lord provide in many incredible ways!
2020 marks the birth of DtCM! The Lord gave a vision of a program of people helping people for His glory. He provided financially, He provided willing volunteers, He provided opportunity, He provided donations, He provided time...the list could go on and on. We are so thankful that God willingly gave such provisions, all in a year, when most thought that nothing good could come of it. DtCM was able to provide 80 water buckets in 2020 which allowed for recipients to have uncontaminated, flowing water for their families/neighborhood. Despite several scheduling setbacks due to COVID-19, DtCM volunteers were able to step into the Cap-Haitien prison and give the hope of Jesus Christ to the inmates through ministry and bible distribution. 1100 bibles were distributed in 2020; 100 went to the water bucket recipients and 1000 to the prison inmates. Through generous donations, DtCM was able to provide food for many in the outlying Cap-Haitien area when the borders were shut down and food was becoming scarce. Also in 2020, DtCM was able to assist several individuals with receiving much needed medical treatments. Many relationships have been established this year in preparation for future ministry opportunities. We are thankful for every step that the Lord has led us through and are excited for what is yet to come.
For 2021, we have a goal to get a ministry/media room built to allow for private meetings and radio/social media ministry to take place. This room will allow for expansion of ministry services in the Cap-Haitien area. In order to begin building this room we must reach a goal of $3500. We also have plans to send our US mission team to Cap-Haitien some time during 2021. That trip is still to be determined and we are praying for the Lord to reveal to us the perfect time. We have so graciously been gifted items such a generator and clothing with the DtCM logo to be taken on the next trip to distribute to those in need.
We are so thankful for all the Lord has done for DtCM during 2020 in order to allow us to be used to grow the Kingdom. We are certainly so very thankful for our supporters! Whether through prayer, monetary support, or physical donations of needed items, you are needed and you are appreciated! So much of what was accomplished this year can be attributed to your help!
We are anxiously looking forward to what 2021 has in store and the plans that the Lord has for Devoted to Christ Ministries!
