  • Introduction

Amanda is one of our couples. We photographed her beautiful wedding in 2019. Even back then, we noticed that she is very talented with her invitations. They have amazing colors and gorgeous designs. Since we have a strong relationship with our couples, we’ve kept in touch with Amanda since 2019. We at Butterfly Kisses and Coppola Films always support our local businesses so check out her stuff on her Instagram or her website. In the meantime, here’s Amanda talking about AB Stationery, invitation trends and more in our article this week.

  • Tell Us A Little About What You Do at AB Stationery Amanda

AB Stationery has been running for 3 years now. We specialize in weddings and day-of stationery. We also handle invitations for smaller-scale events like baptism, communion, confirmation, and birthdays. The art of invitation making has been a huge passion of mine for a while. It started as a hobby for friends and family and developed into a full-fledged business when I started to go through the personal journey of getting married.

  • What Makes Invitation Making So Special to You?

For me, it’s the ability to connect on a personal level with each of my couples. Doing this helps me learn about what makes their relationship special and helps me create something unique to fit their overall vision. It’s what truly brings me joy.

  • Nice, So What’s Been Happening in The Invitation Industry?

In the past few years, trends have seen more couples opting for a single-layered invitation. People seem to have grown tired of those intricate laser-cut invite designs. Acrylic, vellum, and handmade paper have also been popular and the much sleeker and modern pocketfold is also trending.

Like its original form, the pocketfold is designed to keep all the extra info for your guests neatly tucked away in a fold-out compartment. The new and improved pocket can be found on the back of the invitation keeping it sleek and modern.

  • Thanks, Amanda. Any Last Tips for Our Couples Before You Go

Yeah. I’ve been getting a lot of requests from brides wanting a digital copy instead of a physical copy to send off to guests. This is fine because it is also a cost-effective way to save a little if you have a tight budget. You’ll be able to print it at home too if you want. Also, here are the top 10 wedding color schemes for 2021 which will definitely continue forward into 2022:

- Cinnamon Rose and Dusty Rose

- Terracotta and Greenery

- Blush Pink, Greenery and Cinnamon Rose

- Modern Rustic Style in Shades of Gray

- Pantone Rose Brown and Rose Gold

- Light Blue, Dusty Blue, and Burgundy

- Sage Green and Light Terracotta

- Light Beige and Champagne
