Dear Readers,
We attended a wonderful family wedding in Northampton, MA then went on hikes, bike rides, museum ramblings, sea glass collecting and visits with friends throughout Kennebunkport, Ogunquit, Pepperell, Salem, Boston, Georges Island, Darien, Peekskill and Big Pocono State Park.
Hats off to the great preservation work going on over at the Emily Dickinson Museum. And how about natural dinosaur prints that you can actually touch? Atlas Obscura did a write-up about it. Ever try liquid nitrogen ice cream? Seriously, I’m still thinking about Smokin’ Scoops flavors.
This country may seem like it’s coming off the rails, but traveling puts it all into perspective. Bumping into interesting and diverse people on the trails reminds me how similar we really are.
Shared experiences will always unite us.
I woke up the other day to a new written review on my self-published novel, Still:
Donaher's writing will help you believe that your feelings of
loss, extreme sadness and craziness
are normal and even necessary.
Women need openness about our difficult journeys
as mothers and spouses
and Donaher's honesty is very relatable.
...shared experiences will always unite us.
Kindle/Amazon and Good Reads rate their books by how many reviews they get. Leaving a review, even a simple star rating, gives your author friends or favorite author a support boost.
The longer I spend in the writing trenches the more I realize I have to promote myself.
Not such an easy thing.
So, thank you for spreading the word, asking the questions, and letting me know what you’re thinking. Listening to each other doesn’t mean we have to change our opinions or values. But it is the first step in critical thinking.
And I love that.
Thank you for suggesting my newsletter to your friends and
leaving a rating on my novel!
