A rustic, gas fireplace with traditional brick was just not the style that worked for these clients. While the 'before' was nice looking, I think we can all agree that the 'after' is a big transformation! It made the space feel cozier, modern, and warm. |

With the wintery, snowy days coming to an end, (Maybe? It's snowing as I write this) it's the perfect time to do some indoor cleaning before all your attention turns outdoors! Go through your kitchen and donate any old appliances or utensils you're no longer using. Take inventory of your pantry, get rid of any expired foods or spices. After cleaning out your cabinets, wipe them down, inside and out, with a mild soap and warm water mix. No oils, please!* Inspect your hinges and drawer slides; if any are in need of repair or replacement, give us a call!

*A common trend I'm seeing is using essential oil blends to clean cabinetry. Please know, that this can cause major damage to the finish of your cabinets as well as the wood underneath. If you're looking for that wonderful smell, buy a locally made soy or beeswax candle. Water and Lacquer based finishes do not tolerate oils in any form. This also makes them nearly impossible to refinish without completely stripping them down to bare wood. As most of you know, I'm a big proponent of Norwex microfiber! This is the perfect use for your 'Enviro' cloths. Just use water! No soap ever necessary. |

Maria's Color Pick of the Month Miller Paint Northwest Color Collection 'Bronzite' I love a good, bold, gold. Bronzite is the perfect mix of orange and yellow. It's not too dark, but definitely brings color and vibrance to a space. Try it in an office where you need to feel inspired! |

Think I'm joking about the above color in an office? Nope! Here is my personal office, with a color very similar to the one above. When I painted my office, the Northwest color collection didn't exist! This color is called 'Wildflower Drift', and has just a slightly more orange tint. |

Reagan is 8 months old! She has 4 teeth, and we're soon to be seeing number 5. She loves to laugh at her doggies, and her favorite foods so far are avocado, peas and green beans! She doesn't like sweet potatoes, bananas, or oatmeal. |
