Combined Worship Service

We hope you’ve worshiped with us during our combined online worship services on Sundays with First Presbyterian Church and Countryside Trinity Church. Be sure to join us online this Sunday, July 5, 2020 at 10:30 AM as we continue to bring three of the Presbyterian congregations of Saginaw together during this time.

Worship

Our current, online-only worship will continue until health authorities deem it safe for 50 or more persons to gather.  The Task Force is actively making plans and procedures for when we can safely gather again in our Sanctuary.

Interim Pastor

Pastor Philomena is excited to be part of Second Presbyterian Church and working with us during our time of transition.  Please do not hesitate to contact her at the church (989) 792-1023, her regular schedule in the office is Sunday through Thursday.  She can also be contacted at home at (989) 282-5005.

Non-Worship Activities

All non-worship activities of the church have been cancelled or postponed. At this time the group meetings, Youth Group, bazaar, or committee meetings are postponed.  The Prayer Group has resumed meeting, this is possible because they are a group of less than 10 individuals.

Tithes and Gifts

We thank each and every one of you for your continued support during this temporary building closure.  Our ministry does continue during this time.  Many folks have asked how they can continue their monetary support to the church.  This can be accomplished by mailing a check directly to the church or even setting up online bill pay.

Mission News

The Region VII Area Agency on Aging is taking names and distributing food to people 60 and older in the community.  The agency is distributing both perishable and shelf-stable meal boxes. They cover 10 counties, including Bay, Midland, and Saginaw. Deliveries are being done as a porch drop-off, to try to minimize risk of spreading illness. If anyone 60 or older is having difficulty getting out of the house or obtaining food, please encourage them to call the agency office at 800-858-1637 to be placed on a delivery list. Tell the receptionist they are interested in food boxes, and they would be connected to the information and assistance department.

The office has limited staffing during normal business hours. Voicemail, email, and postal mail will be monitored on a regular basis. If you need to contact the church, please use one of the above methods.

Reach Out!

Have you found yourself missing your church friends?  We encourage our entire community to reach out to one another.  Give someone a call, drop a note in the mail, send a text.  Help us stay connected to one another.

If you know of someone in our church community who does not have internet access please share the latest in this mailing with them. Just because our regular worship has been put on hold doesn’t mean we stop worshipping our Lord by serving one another. We are in this together. We look forward to worshipping with you, from a distance, on Sunday.
