CHBB MAY NEWSLETTER

Check our October Newsletter for the "Before" photo of Jed Morgan's bike and the March Newsletter for our in-progress photo. I think we can all agree that Mark Daley at Thunderstruck Custom Bikes did another outstanding job of completing a bike for us. We presented the bike to Jed in Ontario, CA at the kick off for the 31st annual Run for the Wall. It was a great event and many thanks to all the supporters of CHBB that helped make it possible.

The photo above was taken on Jed's first lap around the hotel parking lot. I think the success was realized when after Jed's 2nd lap he asked John "Hardcharger" Barker if he could take one more lap before loading it up to return to Medford, OR.

Supporters in the Medford area will get a chance to see Jed and his bike at the Central Point Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo on June 1st.

DONATE

Volunteer spotlight. Director Ray "Cornman" Cornmesser joined the Board of Directors in 2017 as Director of Purchasing. Ray has been responsible for all of our merchandise designs and selection, and keeping sufficient inventory for all the Area Coordinators to be able to have enough on hand for their various events. At the May BoD meeting we added marketing to his duties in addition to merchandise. Ray has also been responsible for setting up and manning numerous large events in Colorado that have not only brought in a lot of revenue but helped spread the word about the great projects that CHBB undertakes. But I think his favorite is the Annual Jack Daniels tasting that takes place in April. If you know Ray or if you have seen his bike you understand.

While CHBB keeps Ray extremely busy he also stays involved with Run for the Wall as the Midway Route Missing Man Coordinator and coordinates purchasing t-shirts to raise money for Milan School, a favorite lunch stop on the Midway Route.

I usually like to include a little bio about our volunteers but for more about Ray, see our Board of Directors page on the website.
