Hurricane Olivia was just downgraded to a tropical storm, but again- its duck and cover and tie down! Blue outlines the Hawaiian Islands. This is cutting into my painting time! Sheesh! Going to try to send this out before we lose power. I'll keep you posted on my Facebook page.
Banyan Tree Park is closed for renovations and we took the opportunity to discover alternatives! Lahaina Arts Society went on the road- to Maui Brewing Company in Kihei. I was one of a dozen artists enjoying this FUN new venue and this painting was a hit, a deserving collector was HAPPY! Turtles playing in the surf is what she loved- relaxing and charming.
Aloha Monday @ Wailea Beach Resort - Maui Marriott. Chip and Ebbie picked out "Morning Surf- Baldwin Beach", a plein air original 9 x 12. They came by my exhibit and teased me saying "Not enough blue in your paintings.." (They love blue!) They took an original home that made them HAPPY!
A Facebook follower was staying at the Marriott- and recognized my work and me- and skidded to a halt!! Sherri got to meet me face to face- what FUN. She thanked me also for my recommendations for dining- loved Pint and Cork!
Love a quiet 3 room B & B for your next stay in Maui? You'll just be down the street from my studio- Lila is a great hostess with a big breakfast 6 days a week- and a minute's drive to the best beaches in south Maui. I recommend it.
Think "Thomas Crown Affair"'s little tropical cottage-- this gem is secluded and delightful. Ocean view, romantic private cottage, well-appointed as suits the Wailea view! Very highly sought for the perfect location getaway.
