The Northern Nevada Bluegrass Association has been around a long time --- 45 years! From the beginning, our mission has been to support Bluegrass music performances, appreciation, educational opportunities and artists. Every year brings more opportunities and amazing discoveries. We are soooo grateful to all our members and Bluegrass music fans for being a part of this community! |

You Made It Happen!!A Snippet of Professor Joe Johnson's Informative and Entertaining Presentation at the Mountain Music Parlor |

Thank you for all the amazing support and attendance at our Spring Weekend Workshop/Concert Event! We were able to bring free Banjo Instruction and School shows to many High School students, and saw the light in their eyes as they became familiar with banjos, Old Time and Bluegrass music. Our Friday night Lecture/Performance with Professor Joe Johnson SOLD OUT, and, on Saturday, Joe joined the Evie Ladin Band for a dazzling show unlike any concert we've ever put on before. Exquisite musical prowesss by all the artists, as well as a new (to us!) form of musical performance --- body percussion! |

ATTENTION MUSICIANS (click image to enlarge) The best way to publicize your gigs and events is to put them on our Events Calendar. This is the page on our website that consistently gets the MOST "hits" every week. Let your fans and friends know that this Calendar is updated daily, and is the best source of information about Bluegrass and Traditional music events in our area |
|
|
Some folks have requested a weekly email, but our community has grown so much, that this is simply not practical -- some events would inevitably be left out, and many people "tune out" on frequent emails. We search for and receive information from many sources about events, and add the ones that are relevant to our organization. Musicians are invited to send us their information (in Press Release format --- Title, Date, Time, Ticket Price, Links, Photo and Contact info). OR....simply complete the form on our website that allows you to post your event in as much detail as you like! Just click the green button in the top right corner of the Calendar! |
