SUPPORTING MEMBER BUSINESSES:
At a time when many are struggling to keep their businesses and work afloat, NCBWL wants to do its part to help members. Our mission is to support Catholic women throughout the Middle Tennessee area who are professionals and small business owners, therefore, we have added a page to our website to display member businesses so that we can all patronize those businesses, visit their websites, and utilize their services whenever possible. Please share your business with members.

Dear NCBWL Members,
The news of our confinement continues. President Trump and the CDC have urged us all to stay at home and practice social distancing for another month. This means that Palm Sunday, Holy Week and Easter are not going to be spent physically in our churches. (The bishop will be saying Mass from the Cathedral -- without worshipers -- on Easter Sunday which will be televised on Fox 17 locally.) We are all finding creative ways to stay connected and the Church is no different. I have suggested to Barbara that for this virtual newsletter we give you all some online resources for prayer and I’m throwing in one for exercise. Many of these sites I have visited and many I have only seen suggested. Our parishes have online resources and I suggest looking to the individual websites and Diocese of Nashville website for those. See my list below this note.
We will not hold our April meeting and the Business Expo has been moved to Wednesday, July 29, 2020. May is usually our members open house, but I think we need to reevaluate that function as we get closer to May and see what the situation is for Davidson and Williamson County and the COVID-19 virus.
Catholic Charities has canceled the Pathways to Possibilities breakfast this year and is asking for donations for its virtual breakfast. Parishes have established emergency funds to help those who are facing economic hardship at this time. If you are able, please consider giving, and remember local businesses that have found creative ways to stay open and keep people working. After this, we will never take the cashiers and grocery staff for granted.
Keep praying for an end to this pandemic, for all those who are in peril every day to keep us safe, healthy and providing essential services. Remember “Nothing is impossible with God” and Mary is our intercessor. I encourage everyone to end your day with the Memorare like we end our meetings. I hope to see everyone in the not too distant future.
Teri Gordon,
NCBWL President
