Heli Expo 2018 is starting Feb 26 and comes to a close on March 1 in Las Vegas Nevada.  HAI has resurrected the Restricted Category Committee and will be holding its Heli Expo meeting Tuesday, February 27th at 12PM in rooms N119-N120. For the Agenda and listing of committee members click here.

Kamatics and Extex Engineered Products announced the availability of their new UH-1H Self Lubricating Trunnion Bearings.  This follows the availability of the KaFlex Drive Shaft that started being offered last Fall by Kamatics and Extex.  Make sure and stop by at Heli-Expo Booth C4221 and find out  how they are working with the UH-1 industry to continue producing parts that are becoming difficult to locate.

 

Airwolf Aerospace will be set up in booth C2426 .  Stop by and see Eric and the crew about their UH-1 TT Straps.  Airwolf Aerospace, another great UH-1 industry supporter, has hundreds of UH-1 PMA'd products not yet in production that they would like to discuss with you.  Find out how Airwolf Aerospace is working with the UH-1 industry to produce hard to find parts.  

 

Last Summer Advanced Composite Structures Florida (ACSF) received a long-fought-for Federal Aviation Administration exemption allowing the company to represent foreign military surplus composite main rotor blades as “suitable for installation” on restricted category UH-1 helicopters.  ACSF will be at Heli Expo Booth C6624 ready to answer questions regarding the products and services they offer the UH-1 & Restricted Category industry.

 

Transsupport, Inc supplier of Turbine Engines, Parts and a UH-1 Industry suppporter will be at Heli Expo booth C2541 and usually have some comfortable seating to allow you to sit and converse about how they can assist  you with your T53 engine and support.  

 

An AD became active earlier this month, AD 2018-02-08, in regards to Helicopter Technology Company UH-1 Blades PN 204P2100-101, putting them under the current inspection program required on Bell Blades.  We contacted HTC and recieved a very positive response including the fact that HTC is currently testing blades with new part number and titanium grips that, upon approval, will not be under the AD inspection requirements.  For more information and full response to AD check out the
