Get on the Map!
Our Rogue Buzzway Project is mapping pollinator-friendly places
so we can identify the pollinator corridors that run through the Valley -
safe havens for butterflies, bumble bees, native bees, honey bees,
beetles, moths, hummingbirds, and other insects.
Pollinator habitat = pollinators = food production

We are sending a huge Shout-Out of gratitude and appreciation to

The Pollination Project
for honoring us with a grant to help support this project!

We wish to thank Ollie Bucolo and the GIS department at Southern Oregon University for their work earlier this year, and we look forward to working with
Dr. Jamie Trammell and his class to create a bigger and better map!
We invite you to get on the map!

Simply fill out this form to tell us how your property provides pollinator habitat.

Pollinators' Pick
It appears that this article is about birds and trees, but it's really about insects!
Narango added that there are a lot of non-native plants—such as zelkova,
ginkgo and lilac—that don't provide any resources for breeding birds.
"Those species are true non-natives so they're not related to anything here,
and they provide almost nothing in terms of caterpillars for birds," said Narango.
"If you had a choice between a black cherry and a Japanese cherry and if you're interested in food for birds, then you should choose the native version."
