In response to our newsletter I have heard from Curtis Robinhold, the Executive Director of the Port of Portland, that my perception as to the Port’s activities regarding container shipping is not correct.

Robinhold advised me that the Port is actively engaged in “resolving the legal, commercial, and physical constraints on the return of carrier service to our region.”

Robinhold has also advised be that the Port is “actively engaged with a group of industry leaders in developing specific strategies to build that service.”

We support the Port’s efforts in this regard.
