As well as…

New revision tools

These two documents have supported me in my revision lessons and provided structure to my students' revision. The online learning worksheet is designed to support work on vle.mathswatch.com,

hegartymaths.com and other similar websites. The revision jotter is more open-ended and allows students to make notes, draw mind-maps or practise exam questions with spaces for important information around the edge.

Suggested activities for year 6 transition day

This carousel consists of 4 activities, with each expected to take 10-15 minutes hopefully. Each activity comes with instructions to enable students to be relatively self-sufficient (hopefully!). These will need adapting depending on the prior attainment of your intake. Please let me know what you think. Activities include 'make a die', 'pictograms', 'directed numbers codebreaker' and 'patterns and sequences'.

New lesson on deriving expressions and equations

This new lesson includes several examples on deriving linear expressions and equations, then solving or simplifying them. The main task is made up of 10 exam questions in the form of a treasure hunt. The plenary requires students to apply what they have learnt about typical exam questions to create their own questions and mark schemes.
