2024 World Refugee Day On June 22nd, the Utah State Department organized a vibrant World Refugee Day celebration at Big Cottonwood Regional Park. Women of the World was proud to be a part of this incredible event, where we tabled and engaged with the community. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect, share our mission, and celebrate the strength and resilience of refugees. Our economic empowerment program focuses on helping women achieve self-sufficiency through job application assistance, resume crafting, and skill development. We support displaced women in pursuing higher education, offering scholarships and facilitating the registration process. Additionally, we guide them in leveraging their unique skills for entrepreneurship, connecting them with local employers who value diversity and talent through our Employer Partnership Program. |

The Girls in STEM club is hosted by Thanksgiving Point at our office. Our clients' daughters participate in this 8-week program, which started on June 11th and will continue until August 6th. The program explores different branches of science, such as Paleontology, Entomology, Robotics, and Engineering. While the girls are in class, we've been hosting activities for the moms, including painting and conversational English practice. |

WoW’s Case Manager Supervisor will use their previous supervisory and case management experience to provide culturally responsive crisis-intervention, advocacy, and supportive counseling services to clients and supervise the case management team. They support day-to-day operations, track performance of assigned staff, keep accurate reports, and build community partnerships. The Case Manager Supervisor works closely with the Associate Director, Office Manager, and program coordinators to provide services to clients and increase the reach of WoW’s programs. The Case Manager Supervisor will also provide customized case management directly to WoW clients and support other case managers with particularly difficult or complex cases. |
