4-H County Fundraiser Reminder Just a friendly reminder that all fundraiser forms and payment are due at the March meeting. This is the only fundraiser to support county-wide programs and your participation is greatly appreciated! Please make sure your family’s name and contact information is on all the forms so you get credit for your sales. Also, if you opted to use the online payment-please remember to write your confirmation number on the sales form. Items will be picked up on Saturday, May 13th at the Racine County Fairgrounds. We will have more information regarding pick-up at the April meeting. If you cannot make the March meeting-forms can be dropped off at the Weisensel’s or at the Roberts’ homes. If you have any concerns/questions please feel free to call or text me. Again, thank you for supporting Racine County 4-H and helping to “make the best better”! Junior Leaders Escape Room Experience On February 26, the Tucker Junior Leaders went to Br8kout Escape Room. The name of the room was Claus Caper. The story was that someone stole five toys that were really important and Santa locked himself in a room. We had to find a bunch of spoons to figure out the combination for a lock on one of the doors. Unfortunately we did not break out and sadly Santa is still locked in the room to this day. It was still very fun solving puzzles. |

Communication And Performing Arts Festival Every spring 4-H has a communication and performing arts festival commonly referred to as Comm Arts. Comm Arts is an opportunity for youth to get practice talking to an adult about their projects and getting some tips so they will be ready come fairtime. It's a great experience! Youth can enter photos, paintings, drawings, creative writing, posters, computers, and more. They can also do performing arts (playing an instrument, singing, performing a skit, etc.), demonstrations, speaking, and dramatic reading. Comm Arts is probably going to be held at the end of April. More information, (including a specific date and time) will be coming out soon, so please watch your email. We hope you all participate! If you have any questions, please talk to a general leader or officer, and they will be able to connect you with someone who can help. Additionally, if you perform at our Tucker Talent show, Com. Arts is a great opportunity to perform again! |

4-H Camps After a few years' pause, Racine County 4-H is excited to announce that summer camps are back this year! In June there will be two camps, Base Camp and Adventure Camp. Base camp is open to all members grades 3 - 5 to attend as campers, and highschoolers (grades 9 - 12) can be counselors. Adventure camp is open to members in 6 - 8 grade to attend as campers and high schoolers can be counselors. Both camps will be taking place at Army Lake Camp from June 16th - 18th, but they will be occurring separately even though they are at the same place. Counselor applications were already sent out, and camper applications will be available soon, so please watch your emails. There are also a few other camps happening this summer. An email was sent out with more details about all of them. Camps are super fun! We highly recommend that you attend as with a counselor or camper if you are able. Counselors will have to go through an interview process and attend a training. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask an officer or general leader! |
