Happy 4th of July!

I was able to sneak away with the family this last week between school ending and summer camp beginning.  During our trip my daughter lost her front tooth but thankfully was able to connect with the tooth fairy while traveling.

I'm looking forward to being in the office all of July where we have a very busy and exciting month ahead.

Can you believe It's been 6 months since I've opened my practice? 😊

I am so incredibly grateful for my family, friends, colleagues and all the incredible patients who trust us with their care.

How blessed am I that I get to do this for a living?

Summer Book Club

My friend and Urology colleague Dr. Kelly Casperson's book is officially available on amazon.

I am so proud.

This is the adult Sex Ed book I have been asking for.

Dr. Casperson brilliantly weaves together basic anatomy, physiology, sex therapy research, and evidence based teachings all in a digestible and totally hilarious writing style.

I am so proud of this book and honored to be acknowledged and even mentioned a few times!

Read the book and join us for a live zoom with the author.

Date for the zoom call will be sent out soon. It will give you a couple of months to catch up on your summer reading.

I am the very proud education chair of ISSWSH - The International Society for the Study of Women's Sexual Health. In this role I help organize courses aimed at teaching clinicians how to practice sexual medicine.

We are proud to offer a new masterclass this year.

This course includes training in genitopelvic pain conditions, including vulvodynia, overactive pelvic floor muscle dysfunction, clitorodynia, vulvar dermatoses, painful bladder syndrome/IC, pudendal neuralgia and everything that causes vulvar irritation and dyspareunia.

Starting in August, there will be once a month 2-hour sessions on Friday afternoon (also recorded) for registrants spanning from August 2022 to February 2023.

Speakers are top sexual medicine specialists including OB/GYNs, urologists, physical therapists, sexologists who have dedicated their practice and research to Female Sexual Dysfunction and Genitopelvic Pain.

Are you following us on social media?

I agree with all of you that social media is destroying the world.

BUT. and it's a small but.

It's helping change some things for the better.

for example:

1. My twitter social media campaign getting the American Urological Association (AUA) to take on a clinical guideline for genitourinary syndrome of menopause worked! It's actually happening! This could lead to real policy change and better care for women.

2. Andrea our amazing nurse practitioner is making waves with her hilarious and educational posts on instagram.

3. I emailed with Mark Cuban. FOR REAL. A colleague put us in touch because I've been yelling about his incredible new online pharmacy Cost Plus Drugs. He is making medications very cheap including viagra, cialis, and vaginal estrogen.

4. Finding therapists with openings right now is difficult. I am using our facebook page to post openings whenever I hear about them.  We have an incredible community of sex therapists and every once in a while a group or solo visit become available. Follow us on Facebook
