Communications Project Review

At the recent AGM, the PEI 4-H Council Board of Directors announced that a committee would be formed to review the Communications project.    The Communications Project has been a long-standing and notable part of the 4-H program.  This review will be broad in scope and will include, but not be limited to:

  • Current project rules, regulations, and scoring.
  • Resource materials provided to communications leaders and their commitments
  • Information and Materials provided in advance and at competition to judges
  • Current Alternate options that are available
  • Staff requirements at club level
  • Resources provided to members and leaders to assist in creation and execution of their presentation
  • New opportunities at any stage of the project

The Committee will work together over the next 6-8 months meeting in person and/or virtually and will include extensive consultation and feedback with current and past 4-H members and volunteers with the intention to provide a series of recommendations to the board of directors in the Fall of 2021. The committee is open to volunteers, senior members, or parents who have an interest.   The board will evaluate those who express interest to form the strongest committee possible – depending on interest, it may not be possible to accept all interested applicants for the committee.

If you are interested in participating on this committee or have additional questions, please send an email to Rayanne at rfrizzell@pei4h.ca and outline your interest in the committee, special skills you may have, and the club/region you are connected to on or before Thursday, March 18th at 4pm.
