An Update from FiliaVeritatis

Hello all,

It's been a while! I have to apologize for not posting during the month of May - I just realized that I even missed the May Saints post! Life got even crazier than usual, and while God blessed me with some of the most special weeks ever as we closed out the school year, I was also super stressed and super busy, and couldn't put this as a priority. I have realized, though, how true it is that the harder times make the good times all the more beautiful.

That being said, now it's summer! I've been working on finishing up a couple of the posts I started, and have ideas for a few new ones as well. I hope to be back on schedule - at least until I leave for college in mid-August - posting every Friday, but we'll see.

On to some exciting news... today, since I didn't post anything last month, I have FOUR new posts for you: 2 monthly saints, and two that I've placed under the category of Exploration of Truth (more on those below)!

Anyway, I realize that it's been a while since I did an update, so I want to welcome all of those who are new to FiliaVeritatis. I'm so glad you're here! Especially during this beautiful season of summer, please let me know what topics you would be interested in reading posts about, and consider writing one yourself! :)

I pray that you all have a wonderful, blessed summer.

God bless!

Caroline Thérèse

This post ties together three of my favorites: St Augustine, Brideshead Revisited by Evelyn Waugh, and The Hound of Heaven by Francis Thompson. It explores the sweet mystery of how God's grace works even in the lives of sinners.

For this post I chose to simply share the words of Cardinal Ratzinger rather than try to tackle writing on relativism myself. In only a few words, he said it beautifully.
