behind the curtain

Writing and publishing can have its ups and downs. I've made embarrassing mistakes (always check the spelling of "public" before publishing). I've also had some success - Tequila Midnight has over five hundred reviews, and reviews for all of my books have been good - ranging from 4.3 to 4.7 out of five stars on Amazon.

In addition to writing, I'm also a book and publishing coach. I want to help others find success and hopefully avoid some of the many issues that arise in bringing a book into the world. To this end, I've collaborated with another book coach/author, Jocelyn Lindsay, on a YouTube channel with short videos for writers. If you're ever interested in a look "behind the curtain" check out 5 Minute Indie Insights. Here's a sample video:

Leaving a review helps a book more than almost anything a reader can do (recommending it to your friends helps too). You can leave a review for El Diablo at any of the links below.

book recommendations

I loved this urban fantasy novel. It is edge-of-your-seat exciting and follows a once-upon-a-time grunge teen from the eighties who hasn't been home since high school. Now 42, she returns to Bellingham, Washington because the hellgate she closed as a teen is opening. Like a bad high school reunion, she deals with exes and other problems once left behind. I read an early copy of this novel, but it's available for a special preorder price of $0.99.
