Hello Educators, Administrators, and Student Affinity Groups,
The Unspoken Truths in collaboration with Puget Sound Educational District (PSESD) are specifically inviting you to participate in a unique workshop experience. From May 2 - May 27, 2022, my national award-winning American History Traveling Museum: The “Unspoken” Truths will be on exhibition for in-person professional development or round table discussions. There will be two 3-hour sessions every Tuesday and Thursday during the month of May: 9 am-12 pm and 1 pm-4 pm PT. Each session will be limited to only 25 participants. Fee schedule: $300/person and $275/person (special district fee with 5 or more registrations).
Over the last 17 years, I have worked with the following school districts: Seattle, Lake Washington, Tacoma, Kent, Edmonds, Shoreline, Renton, Franklin Pierce, Federal Way, Bellevue, Tukwila, Highline, Snohomish, Redmond, Auburn, Clover Park, Fife, Mercer Island, North Shore, Puyallup, Sumner, University Place, Bainbridge Is., as well as districts outside of the state of Washington.
Below are a few testimonials from past visitors:
Brandon Hersey, School Board President, Seattle Public Schools
“His teachings and exhibit not only promote awareness, identity development, and resilience in those who experience it but also create an academically rigorous hypothesis for the development of social studies curriculum. In short, his teachings have effectively laid the intellectual foundation for which seeds of change can be planted ultimately bearing the fruit of a brighter, more equitable future for our children furthest from educational justice. As a black man, educator, and President of the Seattle School Board I can say without question that our organization is wholly better and more capable of change after our work with Mr. Richardson.”
Jay Inslee, Governor, Washington State
“The light shone by Delbert stretches from our present far into the past – and forward to our future.”
Dow Constantine, Executive, Martin Luther King County
“The combination of your expertise in storytelling and the Traveling Museum’s ability to link our country’s history of racism and exclusion to contemporary events and conditions make your program a great asset to schools, governments, and people of all communities.”
These slots are expected to fill up quickly due to their limited capacity.
Please contact me directly with any questions or if you are a non-education entity looking for training.
In Unity,
Delbert Richardson
