HEART NEWS | MAY 2024

Dear Parents/Carers,

We wished farewell to the month of May during the half term holiday, but what a lot of things we fitted into school life in that first half of the summer term. This month’s Heart News brings you some of those highlights, with stories of the visitors we have had in school who have encouraged and motivated, as well as news of some of the impressive trips out of school our students have taken.

This month’s issue really does showcase what a wide variety of gifts and talents we have within our school community and how many opportunities there are in school to be inspired every day. Reading these stories, you cannot fail to see how our Sacred Heart Goal of Personal Growth has been lived out by so many this term already.

The rest of the Summer term brings even more opportunities for all. As Year 11 and 13 students make the final push to the finish line after their exams, they can start to think about the exciting next steps they will take in the world. We look forward to inviting Year 11 back to the Sixth Form for subject taster sessions from Monday 24th June to Wednesday 26th June, when they will get the chance to experience what life will be like for them here in Year 12.

And we still have a school show - Little Shop of Horrors, Sacred Heart feast day trips, Year 11 and Year 13 Leavers’ Proms and a whole school Big Mass all to look forward to before we break up in July!
