This past year has been huge in developing our monumental mission of
Providing healthy, family environments for children to develop and grow; reaching their full potential in God honoring ways.
Our vision is just as important. We want to cultivate
Strong Foster Children, Generous Support for Foster Parents, and Unprecedented Experiences
2019 was extremely important for the foundation of our organization. We have been diligently accomplishing key landmarks throughout the year.
- We developed articles of incorporation and were approved in the state of South Dakota.
- We created a social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and created a Website
- We developed a board of directors.
- We organized and submitted our 501c3 application to the IRS.
- We opened a bank account at the Black Hills Federal Credit Union.
- We have consistently made community connections and raised awareness about our goals of helping foster parents and children in foster care.
2020 is a big year for current/future operations and fundraising. In short, we are ready to go to work and show that we can make a huge impact in this growing crisis and be sustainable.
God has been preparing the way from the very beginning. In June of this year, Mallory and I will be jumping into Light of Mine Ranch officially as a full-time ministry. We have complete faith in God’s provision and have seen His handiwork countless times throughout our journey as foster parents. Also, know that we cannot do this without your support!
Even though we are a young, growing organization, there are plenty of ways to help.
It begins with prayer. Please join us in 2020 as we pray for wisdom and guidance for every decision that we make. Pray that God will bring us individuals with a heart for children and the generosity to sacrifice their time, skills, and finances. However, don’t just pray for our organization, but also pray for every parent, foster parent, case worker, judge, attorney, police officer etc involved in the lives of these children.
You can also help by sharing information about Light of Mine Ranch. Every “Like”, “Share”, “Comment” helps us get the word out. If you know other individuals, companies, or organizations that would like to be involved, please share with us!
When the time comes, we will be looking for a significant amount of seed money. This comes in many shapes and sizes. We ask that you begin praying and preparing for what that may look like for your family.
Just by reading this letter, we hope that God has stirred an unquenchable desire inside of you to help impact the lives of children in foster care, just as He has with us.
