Join us at Montessori School as we come together to celebrate the International Day of Peace. As a Montessori community, we believe in fostering a peaceful and inclusive environment for our students and families. In honor of Peace Day, we will be hosting an open house to view peace day projects and a pot-luck event on September 26th from 3-5pm. This is a great opportunity for our community to come together and promote the message of peace and harmony. We encourage everyone to participate and contribute to making the world a more peaceful place.
As you know, we grew this year from 49 students to 80 students. So exciting! We are very proud to be able to provide more space for our Community to attend Durango Montessori School.
With this growth, we are keeping an open mindset and shifting as needed to best support our students, staff, and families. We have two new shifts to announce.
Emilie Kershaw has been asked to be our school's Assistant Director. She will continue to coach staff and be our Montessori curriculum guide while also assisting with Administrative duties.
Casey Sutton is replacing Melody as the Lead Teacher in the room 11 Early Childhood classroom.
We are thrilled to announce that Emilie Kershaw is our new Assistant Director.
With over 10 years of experience as a dedicated Montessori teacher, Emilie brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our team. She has a proven track record of hard work and commitment to the Montessori curriculum, and we are confident that she will be an invaluable resource for both our staff and students. In addition to her role as Assistant Director, Emilie will also be serving as a teacher coach, providing support and guidance to our educators. We are excited to have Emilie as our new Assistant Director and look forward to the positive impact she will have on our community.
Ms. Casey, our new Lead Teacher in Early Childhood
Ms. Casey is taking the Lead in our upstairs Early Childhood classroom. She has five years of experience as an Early Childhood Montessori teacher and is thrilled to be moving into this role.
