National Volunteer Appreciation Week

Last week, we recognized each of our initial seven volunteers during National Volunteer Appreciation Week. We want to express our deepest gratitude to our amazing volunteers who have dedicated their time and energy to make a difference for our foster youth. Your contributions are truly priceless, and we couldn't do it without you!

We need CASAs

There are an average of 85-100 children in foster care each month across our tri-parish area due to abuse or neglect. As of today, we have been appointed to 15 cases, which includes a total of 25 children. And that number continues to grow.

Even with our newly-sworn-in CASAs taking six of the 15 cases, there is still a need for more CASAs. Sign up to be a CASA.

Volunteer training coming soon

We are accepting applications for our next training session, which will take place this summer. If you are interested in becoming a CASA, please complete an application online (link below). All applicants must complete a 30-hour pre-service training, full background check and courtroom observation before being sworn-in by a judge. There is already a waiting list of children who need a CASA, so sign up today.
