PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE Lynne Warne “And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus.” (Luke 1:30-31) We enter this Advent season during a time that continues to give us reason to pause and reflect. Even though the pandemic is mostly behind us, we face major uncertainties — from inflation to labor and supply shortages, and more. Yet, it’s this special time of year we are encouraged to contemplate the Reason for the Season. From Gabriel’s announcement that Mary would give birth to the savior of the world and all the life-changing events in between, we can imagine that there was much for Mary to ponder during uncertain times. She undoubtedly spent time carefully mulling over and trying to understand her role as the Mother of the Messiah. READ MORE |
