Summer has a arrived and we're ready for it!! We are so grateful for all of YOU and the support you give us! Please check out some exciting updates below.

Every summer has a story. Make yours a great one!

Five fun activity ideas for children with special needs!

1. Water play! Check out your local pool or splash pad if you have one! You can also set up a water table or baby pool in your own backyard! Water play is especially fun for sensory seekers! However, please be SAFE!

2. Get messy!!! Summer is the perfect time for messy play outdoors. Push those sensory boundaries without the mess indoors!

3.  Music time is fantastic for children with special needs, especially those who are non-verbal! You can use simple hand motions to songs such as ‘the wheels on the bus’ or use instruments such as homemade shakers (using a bottle and some rice) to make some noise!

4. Bubbles! Bubbles can be a great sensory experience! Children who are mobile can chase them and those that are not can watch and enjoy them as they fall and pop!

5. Sensory friendly days at the movies! Many local theaters often offer "sensory -friendly" screenings! These are more relaxed and often bring crowds with many different needs. You won't feel judged here if you child makes noise or needs some assistance. Not to mention, theaters are air-conditioned and might be perfect for the days that are too hot to be outside. The theater will be dimly lit instead of dark, the volume a bit lower having fun is encouraged!

Our FIRST Virtual Meet up is here!!!

Please email us for the secure link to join! We want this to be a safe space and will only send the link to those who pass screening. Grab a your favorite beverage and come hang out for as little or as long as you want! Meet other parents similar to you. The special needs world can be lonely and it's great to have others to bounce ideas, tips and tricks or maybe to just vent!

Our first session will be held at the end of JUNE!

Sending a HUGE thank you to Kristen Lisa Photography in Naperville, IL for donating her time and talent! This was our second year offering FREE mini session to moms of children with special needs. This event is so fun and it's a great way to get mom out from behind the camera and in front of it for once!!
