Dates for Training Rides:

We’re all cycling so we may as well do it together! Mark your calendars for Saturday May 30th and  Saturday June 27th. These are training ride dates. Training rides are optional but highly recommended so we can get used to cuing and other safety measures for the tour. Rides will start at 8am and both will be approximately 20 miles. If a washout is forecasted for either day, the ride will be moved to the following Saturday. Locations for training rides will be announced next month. Of course, these dates could also change depending on the severity of COVID-19. Hopefully it is clearing up by late May but in any case, we will continue monitoring the situation.

Registration Reminder:

Registration is closing at the end of the month, 3.31.20. To register, sign the waiver and reserve your spot here.

Prior Newsletter Info:

If you’re a new subscriber and want to catch up on previous newsletters, check out the FAQ section of our website. It has links to each month's content.

ROUTE FEATURE: SICKLER'S BIKE SHOP

MAKING YOUR RIDE THE BEST IT CAN BE

This month, we’re featuring NEPA’s own Sickler's Bike Shop. We will be starting the ride from Sicklers Friday July 31 and returning to it on Sunday August 2. Sicklers is the area's one-stop shop for bikes and bike rentals, top-notch service, and a floor full of accessories including everything from tires and riding gear to pumps and supplements. The shop’s inventory consists of Cannondale, Giant, Specialized, Salsa and Yeti. They are a certified dealer and I've experienced their professionalism in sales and service first-hand. Shoutout to Lee for always making my old bike feel like new again!

Dave Kaplan and his team pride themselves on staying engaged with their customers long after and they leave the shop. They host weekly rides including advanced road rides on Tuesdays at 5:30pm, beginner road rides on Wednesdays at 5:30pm, and gravel rides on Thursdays at 5:30pm. Rides will be starting mid-April so tune into their Facebook and website to stay up-to-date.

Did we mention they have e-bikes available? Get after it!
