NEWS & VIEWS

FINANCIAL GIVING The Parish Giving Scheme is our new online and phone-based system for financial giving to the church. If you use it, it will save us hours of work (for example, by automatically handling donations and Gift Aid) - a really big help to us. You will have full control of your giving - and there’s no need to deal with your bank. There are flyers at the back of church giving simple instructions - or go online to tinyurl.com/parish-giving for further information.

DISHWASHER Owing to a kind joint donation we have been able to buy and install a new dishwasher in the kitchen. A big ‘thank you’ to the donors who have asked to remain anonymous, but whose names and generosity are known to God!

AUGUST LEAVE Fr Gareth will be on leave from after Mass today until Sunday 14 August. During that time there will be Mass on Thursdays and Sundays only. Please speak to Fr Jacob (07906 718708 / baffour1962@btinternet.com) about any pastoral matters and Keith / Margaret (on the Vicarage number) about any other matters.

GARDEN PARTY

Thank to you to everyone who came to and helped at the Vicarage Garden Party yesterday. It was lovely to gather informally as a church family and spend some time together in the sun.

PATRONAL FESTIVAL At 10am on Sunday 11 September we will celebrate the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary with a Festival Mass followed by a buffet lunch. This is an important occasion in the life of our church each year and we look forward to seeing all the church family together. Nearer the time we will be looking for some help with catering and preparations.
