Happy 2022, BQ Sisters!

I hope your New Year is off to a great start!

Seems like we've already smushed in quite a bit (vacation, illness, birthdays, family visits, launching a son for a semester abroad, etc.) I've been trying to establish a new routine, but every day has presented with some unusual circumstances. C'est la vie!

I'm still tying up loose ends from 2021, including some Christmas-y stuff. How 'bout you? I'm kinda bouncing back-and-forth between planners and my monthly journals... not fully settled into a 2022 rhythm yet. I suspect I'm not alone in this!😜

Some days I'm reflective of events from the recent past and other days I'm itching to start new projects to move forward. Hope you're finding YOUR balance in all this, too.

2021 Bible Quilting® Year in Review

If you've shared in this journey, you've Bible quilted 365 verses plus whatever additional pages you did in between. What a great resource!

Happy New Year!!! Here's to a brighter year, full of blessings and fun memory-making with your own crew! Ready to rock into the Word this year and see what the Lord has in store for us?? We are jumping into our 2022 Monthly Bible Quilt Journal: Drawing Near to God with our first topic, CREATION.

Have you chosen a Word for the Year? Here's a resource that might help you focus in on one. Thanks, Deb, for sharing!

My One Little Word for 2021: Steadfast

2021 was a good year to focus on the discipline of being steadfast, stubbornly holding on to faith and family.

Tips for Prepping 2022 BQJ

Option: You can use the reference lists to kickstart some freestyle pages in your current BQJ, just make flip card sets, or use to decorate your 2022 BQ Calendar.

Need to save a few steps getting your flip card set ready for this month?

Mary Jo typed up all the daily verses onto a printable set for us. Use coupon code CREATION to get the set free til the end of January.

** Note that Day 21 is 1st Peter and that Day 22 is broadened to Isaiah 42: 5-6

You can use elements from the Creation Sticker Sheet to decorate your flip cards as well as your BQ pages. Here's a sneak peek of the set I printed on rainbow-colored card stock in keeping with our creation theme this month:

In the beginning...

We're exploring God's creativity and how He made us creative beings.

31 Days of Creation

Quick tip if you've got the Creation Sticker Sheet and would like to use the long verse for Day 24: Convert two squares into rectangles as shown in the photo below.

What other CREATIVITY do you have going on in your life or cultivate in your family?

Creativity Looms...

God made us to be creative and gave each of us a unique set of skills and talents.

 BQ Calendar

Sometimes I decorate with the monthly theme, but other times I use a patchwork of current verses on my mind/prayer list.

Use up those paper scraps on your BQ pages!

The Crazy Quilt Block template that Alice designed is a PERFECT one for layering decorative papers. More here.

ABC Journal

I've got page "starter" ideas for each letter of the alphabet on the ABC Boards, or you can see a  Flip Through of ABC Journal to help you brainstorm.

If you click on these links and follow through to the comments, often there are pages that other BQ members have shared. Check the "C is for" to see some examples...and feel free to share YOUR pages, too! (partial or complete pages: your choice!)

I'm grateful for some warmer January afternoons and enjoying some walks with Katie to observe God's creation in action. The trees are budding and squirrels are crazy busy!
