Hi everyone!
So a couple of years ago I was browsing the internet and came across an article on being a minimalist, I had heard the term before and brushed it off to some weird way hippie people live thinking why would anyone want to live like the homeless?
Anyway it turns out I have been aspiring to be like those weird people all this time! I thought it might inspire you as well to see life and things differently. The older I get (ah humm almost 30 actually *inserts wisdom here* haha ) the more I understand that its okay to live a life that others don't understand.
People who don't understand minimalism assume it means get rid of everything you have and go live in a trailer park whereas that's actually not the goal of a minimalistc lifestyle at all.. minimalism is the intentional promotion of things we most value and love and the removal of anything that distracts from that.. so for e.g lets say you are a professional food photographer and you love taking pictures of food, it doesnt matter if you own 50 casserole dishes you absolutely love, use and help you with your dreams. Minimalism is not about quantities of items its about their purpose in your life.
Even though I have started implementing minimalistic values to my life it has been a process, for me deciding what stays and goes takes practice and will power but the more I do it the easier it becomes..
I have linked some inspiration below :)
