Gift guide + Updates

Hello, and happy December! In this newsletter, we'll talk about how you can share the power of play this winter - if you'd like to gift with impact, look no further. We'll then turn to some quick updates from the ground. As always, thanks for taking the time to read this newsletter, and thank you so much for all your support!

Our sessions are the heart of Project Play - and when we're playing, lots is happening! We design a combination of free and structured activities that target key developmental outcomes.

Many of the children we work with have not had access to safe spaces to play or learn for many years - something most of us took for granted in our childhoods. Play is absolutely fundamental for healthy development - being denied access to play is harmful for children both now and in the future. No child should be denied their right to play.

This winter, as many of us look to gift-buying, why not share the power of play?

By sponsoring a session, you'll do exactly this. The perfect present for a loved one, you'll receive a sponsor gift pack with stickers, postcards and an optional craft kit (suitable for both kids and adults!). Meanwhile, the money you spend will go directly to the running of our service - ensuring that the children we work with can access play too!

With three tiers of sponsorship, there's something to suit different budgets too. However, if you're looking to spend more or less than the listed prices, drop us an email on fundraising@project-play.org and we'll see what we can do.

Order before the 13th December (Europe) and 17th December (UK) for delivery

before Christmas.* Unfortunately, we can't deliver outside of Europe or the UK - if you live elsewhere and are interested, please let us know on fundraising@project-play.org.

Project Play's Winter Raffle

As always, life for people on the move in northern France is hostile and unstable. Severe storms battered the area in November, with "risk to life" warnings issued - yet, the Sous-Prefecture (local authorities) did not ensure access to emergency shelter, as they've done in the past. As a result, people and families, including those with very young children, were forced to sleep outside amidst gale-force winds and intense flooding.

Alongside other organisations, we protested against the failure to provide accommodation. Although the storm has (physically) passed, life in winter is intensely challenging for children and people on the move. Find out more about the situation in November HERE and follow us on Instagram and Facebook for regular updates.

If you'd like to take action, we also have guides on our website:

Last week, we were absolutely delighted to collaborate with Soul Food Paris to create an AMAZING painted tapestry to decorate one of the spaces where we run sessions. Soul Food do absolutely amazing work bringing arts and culture to young migrants and refugee youth - and it was such a joy to meet them. Thanks so much for coming!

You're receiving this because, at some point in the past, you've opted in to receive emails from us. We're really excited to start bringing you monthly updates in the form of these newsletters, and would love to hear your feedback.
