Three Years in Thailand!!!

We just passed our three-year mark in Thailand, and we are so thankful that God has allowed us to make this transition and provided for us to stay here as long as He has. We hope and pray He will allow us to stay among unreached people for the rest of our lives. Thank you all for your prayers and support. We could not do this without you.

We continue to make new contacts that enable us to expand our influence. We started teaching at two new schools. The first school is about 7 miles away from us and has about 18 students. This small school is in a wood factory with about 300 people. The second school is in Chumphon, an hour away, and has about 40 students. As we continue to teach there, please pray that God will allow us to connect with the parents to be able to share the gospel with them.

A third new school has the potential to lead to much larger connections because it is in the middle of the Chumphon Myanmar community of 3,000 to 5,000 people. This is the area that we have been praying about expanding to with the desire to proclaim the gospel and see a church planted. There are no known Christians or gospel efforts in this community. Pray God will allow us to change that. We have found that we receive open invitations into people's homes to share the gospel when we teach their children.

Several weeks ago, we visited the parents of one of our students. The father's eyes lit up as we shared the gospel with him. He, Ay Nai, has since come to worship and to visit our homes. He seems to have an extreme hunger to know more about God. He says he wants to be a Christian and wants it to be real. We keep sharing the gospel with him and the surpassing value of knowing Christ.

Sister Zion continues to do well. She is now praying about what to do with the children at her house that are becoming adults. She wants to start another house in a nearby town that has education programs for them. I told her we could not support that yet, and in typical Zion fashion, she said we would just keep praying for God to provide.

We greatly appreciate your prayers:

  1. Please pray that Ay Nai and his family would believe.

  2. Pray that God would expand our connections to share the gospel with more people.

  3. There are about 5 to 10 people that we are regularly sharing the gospel with who have not believed yet. Please pray their eyes would be opened and they will believe.

  4. Pray for more people to come. We are at/beyond our capacity to connect with the people around us. Don’t forget to ask God if you should go.

  5. Pray for us to know how to best help Zions kids.

  6. Pray for someone with a heart to go to her area with the purpose of church planting.

  7. Please pray for continued strength and wisdom for our group as we move forward and serve in all these areas.

  8. Please pray for our girls (Chloe and Raegan) in America as they are in college and working. Pray God would keep them safe and that they would be strong and continue to shine their light for Jesus where God has them.

If we can help and encourage you in any way or you just have a prayer request, please contact us.
