I'm sure you've heard "It's Flu Season" around this time of year.
Let me introduce you to this thought.....
"It's STRESS Season"
Why do I say that? Around this time of year we tend to increase our sugar load (including the increased toxins in artificial foods) starting with Halloween and the holidays that follow, we're indoors more with shorter days, we may be forced to have family gatherings that either bring up thoughts of past loved ones or ongoing family conflicts, as well as the hectic schedule that the holidays bring. All of this plays a huge role in our immune function, decreasing it's ability to fight foreign invaders.
Reality is, these germs are around consistently throughout the year. The difference is, our lifestyle changes during the fall and winter months creating the perfect environment for these opportunistic germs to thrive!
