I hope this newsletter finds you and your family healthy, in high spirits and having a great spring wherever you may be!  The Jones' are fine and we're enjoying our newest family member, Gracie, an eleven-week-old yellow Lab puppy. 

I've been busy in the studio working on a green heron, mountain goat, several life-size and larger than life sculptures.  It's always exciting and challenging

creating the larger pieces.  

  I have several upcoming shows/events and I hope to see you.  If not, you are always welcome to visit my studio, if you are vacationing in Montana.

River Bottom Sanctuary 

In spring, you can hear the unmistakable call of the male pheasant as he gathers his hens for the breeding season.  The rooster is one of the most handsome and colorful of all upland game birds.

The Fisherman 

The belted kingfisher is always interesting to watch. 

When I'm on the river, I hear its rattling call before I spot it in flight.  If I'm lucky, I'll see one perched on a branch above the water, looking for a minnow to snatch.

The sailfish is one of the most spectacular big game fish in the world.

Treetop Acrobats

I always enjoy observing black-capped chickadees in a hawthorn tree outside my studio window.  These energetic birds seem to hang off the branches in every position. 

This sculpture will be in the upcoming Western Visions show at the

National Museum of Wildlife Art.
