As part of connectUS, our Global Engagement Officer, Paulina Guzman, participated in an engaging conversation with students from the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW. In partnership with the Consulate General of Switzerland in Atlanta, the students were introduced to Atlanta’s workforce development initiatives in the entrepreneurship, LGBTQ, and youth sectors. Monica Delores Hooks, Executive Director of the City of Atlanta's Women's Entrepreneurship Initiative, provided a keynote address during the Women’s Empowerment Roundtable Summit hosted by the United Nations Association of Atlanta Chapter, RCE Greater Atlanta and International Women's Think Tank. Consul General Michel Gerebtzoff of the Consulate General of Belgium in Atlanta also shared Belgium’s best practices in promoting gender equality. |

Atlanta celebrates the Bicentennial of Greek Independence Day |

MOIA was delighted to join the Greek community in Atlanta in celebration of the Bicentennial of Greek Independence Day. As the world united to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Greek culture, we were reminded of the strong ties we have with our Greek community, from the Atlanta Greek Festival to our sister city relationship with Ancient Olympia. The strength of our relationship is reflected by our Greek neighbors that call Atlanta home and enrich the fabric of our community. The City of Atlanta was honored to join the Consulate General of Greece in Atlanta and the Greek community in commemorating this historic occasion. MOIA and UPS host final session of Women Export University |

MOIA hosted the last session of the Women Export University, where 26 female entrepreneurs completed a 4-month program that provided them with tools and resources to export. The women will officially graduate from WEU on Wednesday, May 12th. Stay tuned for more details! |

From Aurich to Atlanta, a new bilingual exhibition at the Georgia Tech Library, showcases the life and work of Bauhaus-educated designer Hin Bredendieck in both English and his native German. The physical exhibition runs from March 22 through May 31 in the Library's gallery space on the first floor.
