The cancellation of Art Basel did not stop Miami from presenting specially timed exhibitions and many of our FAMA creatives are part of it. These in-person exhibitions require RSVP and have limited capacity.  Some events are virtual and cater to every taste. We invite you to explore some of these exhibitions on and off line.

 
FAMA

Local Global, curated by Marie Vickles, will focus on Miami as a central point of geographic interest and confluence in the Global South. This exhibition and performance program, Pèfòmans Fanm, will feature a selection of Miami-based artists that represent the multiplicity of Afro-diasporic histories and nationalities, which define our region and connect it to the Caribbean. Featuring Laeti.Artist Adam-Rabel.

Performances will take place on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 2pm the Little Haiti Cultural Complex. Performers should arrive at 12:30pm.

Performance Re-tracing Detention Center Artists: Sonia Baez-Hernandez, Diego Klock-Perez, in collaboration with Brain Amado, Evelyn Politzer, Performance, sound, voice, and choreography by Sonia Baez-Hernandez and Diego Klock-Perez, segment of poems: Nana Rabiosa by Brain Amado,   segments Inhabit Enclosures by SBH, and costume design by Evelyn Politzer. 

Mexican consulate @icm_miami and curator Rina Gitlin @rinagitlin present a  solo exhibition by Karla Kanto " rewriting" join them at the virtual opening Thursday, December 3rd at 6:30 pm at Facebook @ConsulmexMia.

Please join us for our first virtual, 17th annual Breakfast in the Park on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Each year since 2004, as an official event during Art Basel Miami Beach, the Patricia & Phillip Frost Art Museum has welcomed visitors to enjoy a lecture by a noted sculptor and guided tours of the Frost’s exhibitions and Sculpture Park.

HOTEL SAGAMORE CON LA EXHIBICIÓN “EVERYONE HAS A STORY TO TELL”

La Sagamore Art Week se celebra del miércoles 2 al 7 de diciembre. Destaca una nueva exhibición inmersiva de arte que promueve a una treintena de artistas de Miami bajo el nombre de la exposición Everyone has a story to tell!/Todos tienen una historia que contar. Una parte de las ventas de arte se destinará a la Comunidad de arte de Miami. Los curadores de esta nueva edición son Grela Orihuela y Maggie Cuesta. Este año los objetivos incluyen la creación de un mini-lugar de arte con galerías bien elegidas y respetadas en los bungalows de 2 pisos. Sagamore Art Week runs from Wednesday December 2 to 7. Highlighting a new immersive art exhibition that promotes some thirty Miami artists under the name of the exhibition Everyone has a story to tell! /. A portion of the art sales will go to the Miami Art Community. The curators of this new edition are Grela Orihuela and Maggie Cuesta. This year's goals include creating a mini-art venue with well-chosen and respected galleries in the 2-story bungalows. Also, exciting “The Gaze” art exhibits are launched in public areas.
